2. Purpose of this manual

This manual explains the records we hold and the procedure a person may follow to request access to a record under PAIA. Access is subject to the requirements and lawful grounds for refusal set out in PAIA.

3. Records held

• Business administration, financial and statutory records
• Staff, contractor and supplier records
• Client enquiries, appointments, consent and treatment records
• Policies, marketing communications and website records
• Records required under applicable health, tax, labour and consumer laws

4. Records available without a formal request

Public website content, service information, this PAIA Manual and our POPIA Privacy Notice are available without a formal PAIA request.

5. How to request access

Contact us on WhatsApp and ask for a PAIA access request. Your request must identify the requested record, explain the right you wish to exercise or protect, provide your preferred form of access and include sufficient contact and identity information. If you act for another person, proof of authority is required. Any prescribed fee may apply.

6. Decision and remedies

We will consider the request within the periods prescribed by PAIA and notify you of our decision. Access may be refused where PAIA protects privacy, confidential commercial information, safety, legal privilege or another protected interest. The notice will explain available remedies where applicable.

The Information Regulator publishes a guide explaining how to use PAIA. Forms, guidance and contact details are available from the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
